Another ridiculously cute moment captured forever.
Happy Third Birthday Emily!

It’s official, my baby is now three years old which makes me….well, let’s just say time is flying.
Emily turned three on April 15th and I’m relieved to say I got all my taxes paid and submitted a few days prior to that. We haven’t really celebrated her birthday yet because we’re having a party for both her and Ana on May 20th. Ana turns 6 on May 16th, so we’ve been combining their birthdays each year. Neither of them seem to mind (yet).

Even though we plan on throwing a big bash on May 20th, we couldn’t resist giving Emily a couple of gifts on the morning of her birthday. She got some new trains for her Thomas set and some craft stuff. We also gave Ana a couple of small gifts (we’ll be doing the same thing on Ana’s actual birthday). That’s right, it’s always Christmas here at our house!

Emily loves her new trains. Happy birthday, sweetie!
Quick medical-ish update on Emily: She went to the dentist last week and he counted all her teeth. She has ten on the bottom, all of which are perfectly normal and six teeth on top. She is cutting two molars on top (the 2nd year molars) which will make 18 teeth total. So she’s only 2 teeth shy of a full set! The teeth that are missing are in the area of the cleft, which the dentist says is normal but I don’t believe him because the team at NYU says anything can happen up on top where there’s a cleft (too many teeth, not enouogh, etc.). So I consider her very lucky that she has most of her teeth and they’re pretty much situated in the appropriate location, although they’re quite crooked and far apart. She also has NO cavities! She did great during the exam and loved picking out a toy from the prize box.
