Emily and Ana are singing the last line of the song “The Wizard and I” from the musical Wicked. This is what happens when you expose young children to Broadway musical soundtracks too early in life. Fortissimo!

Ana and Emily shared a birthday party on May 20th, and I somehow managed to get 100 horrible pictures of the event. Nevertheless, here are a few blurry, confusing shots of my big girls. Ana turned six and Emily turned three. I can’t believe how fast time flies.

Emily is now old enough to stay focused on unwrapping presents.

We took the girls to Ana’s gymnastics place for the big party – Ana invited about 8 of her friends from school and Emily invited…one. Still, Emily didn’t mind hanging out with all the big kids. The theme was princesses and unicorns in purple and pink. A more girlie party has never before occurred. We even handed out princess hats to all the guests (needless to say, no boys were invited).
